Product Overview
Susan Cain's "Quiet" emphasizes the often undermined contribution that introverts have to a world that can't stop talking. What I remember about this book is the theory by developmental psychologist, Jerome Kagan et al., which says that infants who start out as high-reactive, that is, they are easily stimulated with the environment, tend to grow up to become timid, shy, and seek less stimulating places. On the other hand, children who start out as low-reactive, tend to grow up to become outgoing, spontaneous, and seek stimulating places such as events with loud music, and such things.
